< 깊이와 공백 >은 나란한 그러나 거리가 다른 두 개의 스크린에 프로젝션 되는 2채널 영상이다. 떨어져 있는 두 개의 영상에 동시에 초점을 맞출 수 없는 상황을 연출하여 사이를 바라보도록 유도하고,  분리된 이미지의 접속 지점을 발견하도록 한다. 

영상은 양안시차를 통해 평면에서 입체를 떠올리는 스테레오그램(매직아이)에 대한 이야기로 출발해 카메라가 포커스를 맞추기 위해 행하는 렌즈의 운동, 양안시차를 통해 우리가 깊이를 인식하는 방법으로 나아가며, 이 모든 영상 이미지들은 두 개의 스크린을 연결, 때로는 분리하여 사용하면서 관객의 눈을 교란한다.

이로써 관객들이 스크린의 선명한 경계를 넘나들며 연결되어 있는 것들의 어긋난 틈새를 인식하고, 때로는 명확하게 어긋나 있는 것들의 연결을 시도하는 보기의 방식을 제안한다.

Depth and Blank is a two channel video projected on two screens aligned at different distances. It is arranged so that the viewer cannot focus on the two seperate images at once and is instead led to look between them and to find the contact point of the seperate images.

The video starts with stereogram(Magic Eye) in which people see 3D images from 2D images due to binocular disparity, then progresses to the lens movements of a camera trying to focus and the way we perceive depth through binocular disparity and at the same time, allthe images are presented connecting or seperating the two screens and disturbing viewer' eyes.

The proposes a manner of seeing through which viewers move in and out of the boundaries of the screens, perceive the twisted cracks of things that are connected, and sometimes attempt to connect things that are clearly disconnected.
